Dice Control
Is Dice Control Possible
As you probably know, dice are the main component of the game of
craps. If you can learn how to control the dice that you throw, you
will obviously have a better chance at success. The question is:
is dice control possible? This has been debated time after time,
and many players have opinions about this.
The Basics of Dice Control
The basic gist of dice control is quite easy to understand.
Generally speaking, this is the theory that players can learn how to
throw dice in a particular way as to influence the results. There is
a small group of craps players who believe that this is more than
possible. In turn, they feel that the game of craps can be taken
from one of chance to one that is based more on skill, such as
darts. After all, if you can control the outcome of the dice you
will be able to control your winnings.
Setting the dice is not the only thing to keep in mind when it comes
to dice control. There are other factors that go into the belief
that this is a possibility. For instance, the grip of the dice as
well as the angle at which they are tossed is also essential to the
validity of this theory. Those who believe in this feel that the
dice can be thrown at the back wall of the craps table, and upon
making contact they can remain on the same axis. In theory this
sounds good, but obviously it is much more difficult than that.
Even if dice control is possible, consistent results will be
difficult to obtain. Just like anything else that takes skill, dice
control is not going to be 100 percent accurate all of the time. For
this reason, it is hard to say just how much of the house edge a
player can steal.
Overall, dice control will always be a huge debate amongst craps
players. This is something that you may want to look into, but not a
theory to hang your hat on.
